This is the time of year that people start
creating goals for the new year. It is
important to not only to create new goals
but to develop a plan to manifest them
as well. I have created goals for the
practice which I have shared with you
below.
HEALTHYDAES GOALS FOR 2006
Have at least 10 participants in each
cooking class
Increase the newsletter subscriber rate
to 2,000 members
Increase the number of corporate seminars
given each month to 5
Publish the first Healthydaes cookbook
by October 2006
How can you support Healthydaes reach
these goals? Part of my implementation
plan is to share my goals with each of
you and to ask you to refer patients to
the practice. All this requires is talking
about anything you see that you think
is interesting or share any way the practice
has supported you in living a more healthy
life.
I hope you have been working on your health
goals for 2006. What could be more important?
Once you have created the those goals
you need a plan to manifest them into

At the same time learn how to
prepare easy recipes that are
sure to please the lover in
all of us. The menu will include:

asparagus and black rice
Chocolate Fondue with fresh
fruit

for the month - Black Bean Chili
2 tablespoons
olive oil
1 cups chopped yellow onions
1 cup chopped red bell peppers
2 tablespoons minced garlic
1 medium zucchini, stem ends
trimmed and cut into small diced
1 medium eggplant stem cut into
small diced
2 cups corn kernels
1 1/2 pounds portobello mushrooms
(about 5 large), stemmed, wiped
clean and cubed
1 tablespoons chili powder
1 tablespooon ground cumin
1 1/4 teaspoons salt
1-2 shakes of cayenne
4 large tomatoes, peeled, seeded
and chopped
3 cups cooked black beans, or
canned beans, rinsed and drained
1 (15-ounce) can tomato sauce
1 cup vegetable stock, or water
In a large pot, heat the oil
over medium-high heat. Add the
onions, bell peppers, garlic,
and cook, about 3 minutes. Add
the zucchini, eggplant, corn,
and mushrooms, and cook, stirring,
until soft 5- 6 minutes. Add
the chili powder, cumin, salt
and cayenne, and cook, about
30 seconds. Add the tomatoes
and stir well. Add the beans,
tomato sauce, and vegetable
stock, stir well, and bring
to a boil. Reduce the heat to
medium-low and simmer, stirring
occasionally, for about 20 minutes.

for the month- Goal Setting
Spend some
quiet time thinking about how
you would like to be better
in some aspects of your life
than you are now. Write down
what it would look like, feel
like, smell like, create very
real impression of what you
want - envision what you want
happening to you right now.
Hold that picture as your goal
for manifestation.
Choose to focus on 3 - 5
goals at a time. You must
focus your energy to be able
to manifest what you want. Do
not try to achieve too many
goals at one time! If you are
focusing on to many goals you
will scatter your energy and
end up exhausted and disappointed
that you have not completed
any of your goals.
Create a specific time frame
for each goal , 3 months,
6 months etc. Put a date next
to each goal that you have set.
Make sure that each goal
is something realistic for you.
If you suffer from anxiety attacks
don't set a goal to be cured
in 30 days that will just produce
more stress and anxiety. Give
yourself 90 days so we can create
a plan for stress management
and improve your vitamin and
mineral uptake.
Ask for help! We were
placed on this planet to support
and help one another. If someone
has a strength that you do not
ask for support. It will make
the other person feel needed
and you will get support in
achieving your goal. If you
have been trying to lose weight
for the last 5 years and have
not been able to you can't do
it on your own. Make a commitment
to spend your money on getting
the help you need instead of
buying that new outfit.
Do not compare your success
with others. You never really
know what going on in other
people's houses. So focus on
your own success instead of
the perceived successes of others.
Do not psyche yourself out.
Praise yourself for your accomplishments
and forgive yourself for your
setbacks. Remember that it takes
at least 21 consecutive days
of one activity to create a
new habit. Be gentle with yourself
and do not let one bad day take
the place of several good ones.
